“Police in Sweden have arrested a man for a “terrorist crime”, prosecutors said, hours after a beer truck ploughed into a crowd outside a busy department store in central Stockholm, killing four.
“The man was arrested “on suspicion of a terrorist crime through murder,” Karin Rosander, a communications director at the Swedish Prosecution Authority, told AFP.
“The hijacked truck crashed into crowds of people before ramming into a department store in central Stockholm, just before 3pm (local time) yesterday, killing four people and injuring 15 others.
“Gunshots were also reportedly heard as panicked shoppers fled during the deadly rampage on Drottninggatan (Queen Street).”
