“NINTENDO today revealed an innovative, all-in-one gaming system that can be played on the go or when connected to a TV in an effort to win gamers back from smartphones.
“The Japanese gaming firm behind classic characters including Super Mario and Donkey Kong officially unveiled its Switch game machine at an event in Tokyo, confirming rumours swirling around the device and revealing a global launch date of March 3.
“The Nintendo Switch games console will feature a large touchscreen and two removable controllers, called Joy-Cons, that can be connected to the device to make it resemble a GameBoy, or used like motion-sensitive Wii Remote controls.”
