“And on Friday, 55-year-old Jodie Foster reprised her FBI agent Clarice Starling character for comedic purposes, as she took part in a sketch on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
“In the sketch, Clarice is hunting for evidence of collusion between Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and Russian authorities – and seeks the advice of imprisoned cannibal Hannibal Lecter, played by 53-year-old host Colbert.
“The pre-recorded scene begins with the Taxi Driver actress introducing herself to Colbert’s Lecter, who asks: ‘You’re one of Robert Mueller’s, aren’t you?’ – in reference to the US Justice Department’s special counsel into Trump’s Russia ties.”
