“Australia has a starring role in this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL), which has poked fun at US President Donald Trump’s phone call with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
“The sketch features US actor Beck Bennett as a sparse-haired and well-suited Mr Turnbull and Alec Baldwin as Mr Trump as they discuss the Austraila-US refugee deal.
“In the oval office, Mr Trump sits with his chief strategist Steve Bannon, played by Mikey Day, as the Grim Reaper.
“”I’m tired and cranky and feel like I could just freak out on somebody,” Baldwin, aka Mr Trump, says.
“A ghoulish Mr Bannon offers Mr Trump a simple solution: “Maybe you should call Australia”.”
