“A man unleashed a barrage of gunfire from a hotel room onto an outdoor music festival in Las Vegas, killing at least 59 people and wounding at least 527 others on Sunday night, officials said.
“Shortly after 10 p.m., the gunman shot from the 32nd floor of the hotel, the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, spraying bullets into a crowd of about 22,000 people at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, officials said.
“Photos showed two broken windows in a corner of the hotel that has a broad view of the concert grounds below. The gunman smashed the windows with a hammerlike device, officials said.”
