Last week, an event called “A Day Without a Woman” was held. The idea being women across the U.S. would go on strike for 24 hours to remind us all how much they do.
This divided opinion. A lot of women went into work as normal, while others duly took the day off as a show of solidarity.
Saturday Night Live addressed “A Day Without a Woman” in a sketch called A Sketch for the Women, as written by two men. Suffice to say it’s all one big joke at women’s expense.
Scarlett Johansson as host was involved. And even Lorde, the musical guest for this episode, popped up in a cameo role at the end.
