“LOOKING TO RELOCATE? Vermont will reimburse people up to $10,000 if they move there and work remotely.
“Vermont Gov. Phil Scott signed a bill into law Wednesday that will pay people $10,000 over two years if they move to the state and work remotely for an out-of-state company. The Remote Worker Grant Program will go into effect Jan. 1, 2019.
“Participants can get reimbursed for relocation expenses, coworking memberships, computers, internet and other work-related expenses.
“According to the bill, the state has allotted for 100 grants for the first three years and 20 additional grants every subsequent year. The grants will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.”
