“Clearly, a movie about a killer robot who looks like a young child has to have a sense of humor about it. Without that, it’s hard to take the character seriously. It’s a big part of why, back in 2022, M3GAN became a breakout hit.
“It was gory and thrilling, but also very self-aware and completely hilarious. Now, for its sequel, it’s taking all of that and dialing it way, way up, where the lines between humor and horror are basically completely gone.
“In other words, it looks amazing.”
