It’s hard to take an apology seriously when you end up insulting another group of people when you’re doing it.
Norm ended up apologising after making it sound like the perpetrators of certain things were having it worse than the victims of those same people.
While I do think there is an outrage culture happening these days, it’s hard to feel sorry for Norm or the people he was defending when – talking about the issue later with Howard Stern – he said that ‘you’d have to have Down syndrome not to feel sorry for the victims of sexual abuse’.
Well done, Norm. Way to make a point. Sigh.
