So Disney has bought LucasFilm – including the rights to the Star Wars franchise – for something like $4.5 billion, and I have yet to hear of a fan who is happy about this transition.
Or about the announcement that Disney will release a Star Wars 7 in a few years.
I’m with Sam on this. Things are just getting pathetic now. I get the business of LucasFilms selling out to Disney. If Lucas wants everything out of his hands, then I can’t begrudge him that.
BUT, a Star Wars 7? As much as there is a small possibility it could be a good story, everyone is going to see it as a blatant money grab.
