This is one of the many reasons I love Japan – thinking outside the box for solutions to important issues.

I would love to see this used and adapted in other countries as well. There are so many ways that this could be useful for those who live in isolation for various reasons.

“At least half a million young men in Japan are thought to have withdrawn from society, and refuse to leave their bedrooms. They’re known as hikikomori.
