When Sanctuary was first started in 2007 it was already being noticed by the Sci-Fi channel because of the people involved. Writer Damian Kindler, director Martin Wood, and actress Amanda Tapping all hail from the popular Stargate SG-1 TV series.
Now in the coming months, Sanctuary will crossover from the web to the Sci-Fi channel on TV.
Sanctuary was recently awarded a Guinness World Record for “Highest Budget Television Production Direct to the Web”. Shot using 90% green screens and CGI animation, you’d only expect this to be the case. After all, wasn’t 300 shot in this style?
