“CBS Films, Lionsgate and eOne just dropped the second full trailer for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
“Produced by Guillermo del Toro, penned by Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman and directed by André Øvredal, this will be a feature film based on a whole bunch of short stories compiled/written by Alvin Schwartz.
“The 1980’s scary story anthology was notable both for the unapologetic murder and mayhem present in a series pitched at kids as well as infamously grotesque illustrations.
“And this trailer makes it pretty clear just how the movie will take a whole bunch of disconnected spook stories and folktales and include some/many of them into a singular narrative.”
