“Verizon customers are being impacted by widespread cell service outages across the United States on Saturday, including in the Sacramento area and throughout California.
“The company is “aware of a software issue impacting wireless service for some customers,” a Verizon spokesperson told SFGATE in an emailed statement. According to Downdetector, a website on which people can report cell service outages, the number of posted reports peaked in the period slightly after noon, with over 22,000 Verizon users having reported outages. In that period, over 1,300 users in LA had reported outages in Downdetector.”
