Rock and roll biopics are box office gold. Think Ray, Walk the Line, and La Vie En Rose. Now in that same tradition comes the next Academy award contender, Weird.
OK, I admit it. We sadly won’t see this Weird Al Yankovic biopic in cinemas any time soon, but we can dream for a minute, can’t we?
No doubt this fictionalized life, where Weird hooks up with Madonna and battles alcoholism, is much more exciting than the real thing. But why let that get in the way of things? After all, Oliver Stone didn’t mind embellishing the truth when he made The Doors!
