I think services like WorldTV, SplashCast and FeedBeat will be able to do this.

It allows people to make channels from YouTube videos which play continuously in full screen.

As for replacing TV - that depends on the content and ability to have a central destination that aggregates content effectively making it easy for people to find what they want to watch.

Yeah but when will Youtube allow users to watch their entire quicklist in full screen mode without having to jump back and forth from full screen to small screen in between videos?

It seems to me that this feature would worry the television industry since that is the essential "annoyance" of having to watch videos/tv on the internet, namely that: You still have to stay near your computer so that you can switch into full screen mode in between videos.

If / when youtube supports this feature I will be amazed. One in theory could completely bypass network television and commercials all together because people would hook up there computers to their TV monitors instead of paying for cable.

What do you think?

Except that the fullscreen sucks when you have dual monitors and you want to have full screen video on one and do something else on the other... You can no longer just move the full-screen window to the other screen, and as soon as the video loses focus, it goes back to the small version.
