Syfy hasn’t really had a huge hit show since Battlestar Galactica, but the U.S. television channel is hoping Defiance will prove a bit hit with viewers.
This video shows one of the many Defiance trailers that have been shown in recent months to promote the show, and it does a good job of getting across the basic plot and feeling the show has.
Defiance shows what happens in the aftermath of a huge war between seven alien races and humans, all of which took place on Earth.
It’s Mad Max meets Star Trek, with elements of The Walking Dead and the aforementioned Battlestar Galactica thrown in for good measure. A video game that augments the story has also been released.
