2008 Academy Awards Highlights Video | Oscars in 60 Seconds

Now Hollywood’s nursing its biggest hangover of the year we’re being flooded by Oscars videos. As an awards nut, I sat on the couch and watched the thing in its entirety. But as much as I love them, by the end I was anxious for the ceremony to wrap up.

It seems I could have saved myself a lot of time by watching this video.

It gives a snapshot of all the important stuff – the big winners, the musical numbers, and the presenter gaffs – and leaves out the fillers. That’s right – it doesn’t show who won best sound editing and best set design because no one really cares.

Condensing several hours of footage into 60 seconds is no mean feat, but this vid does it brilliantly.
