Finally, the highly anticipated sequel to 300, now directed by Noam Murro (taking over from Man of Steel’s Zack Snyder), has made it’s way to the big screen, and we’ve got a glimpse of the film in the first trailer! So what can we expect from this preview of 300: Rise of an Empire?
Based on the Frank Miller graphic novel, Xerxes, the plot will pick up with the Greek general Themistocles getting ready to battle an invading army of Persians under the mortal-turned-god, Xerxes. With that said, expect a lot of bloodshed and intense fighting scenes that require you not to blink because you will miss something.
And, of course, the ladies will be pleased to know that the washboard abs are back (yay!), except for those of Gerard Butler, Michael Fassbender and practically every other guy in the last film since they were killed off, but the replacements are just as drool-worthy.
The film stars Eva Green, Rodrigo Santoro, Lena Headey and Sullivan Stapleton.
