This is getting out of hand. I guess a guy who busted his ass for years and won 10 gold medals for our country can’t even enjoy a little weed without the world turning upside down.
To make matters worse, seven college students’ lives might be ruined over a mere picture.
I honestly thought that we as a nation were passed this Regan-era mentality; especially since pro-legalization ads have been going viral lately. Make no mistake, if this were anyone else no one would think twice about some frat boys getting high at a party- the possibility of jail time wouldn’t even be a thought.
But because Phelps has millions of dollars everyone wants a piece of the pie. Sure, selling the bong for $100,000 on eBay was stupid, but the fact that the police had the nerve to toy with seven student’s future at USC for being associated is moronic.
My theory is that Phelps hasn’t yet been arrested because the police want to trick the other seven into testifying against Phelps for some sort of charge with a hefty fine. If I were Phelps right now I would follow the lawyers advice and “be careful.”
As the rap artist Biggie used to say, “Mo Money Mo Problems.”
