88-Keys, who has produced multiple for artist like Talib Kweli, Musiq Soulchild, Macy Gray, and Mos Def, has just released his first music video which also features Kanye West.
As for 88’s new solo record (from which this track is off of) he stated, “The entire album is about the power of the punani.” Which would explain why this entire song could be a great Viagra commercial.
If you’ve ever wondered what Kanye West would look like as a 70 year old rap star, this video has the answer. Going along with 88-Key’s concept album titled The Death of Adam “Stay Up” tells the story of Adam and his Viagra dependency.
I’m not so sure what two old men and a couple of hot gold-diggers have to do with solving Adam’s death, but the line “Y’all can have sexy time, it’s nice!!” was enough to keep me interested. As long as it’s funny and has Kanye in it, I really don’t care if the concept works.
Hell, when’s the last time an actual concept album really lived up to telling a story? Pink Floyd’s The Wall maybe?
