Today is Mother’s Day, in the UK at least. This is the day when mums, or moms if you’re American, are thanked, blessed, and generally given a day off from doing what they do best – being mothers.

This video is a kind of greetings card in video form, with random people supposedly plucked off the streets wishing their mums a Happy Mother’s Day. It goes out to mothers everywhere.

Would it be churlish to use this opportunity to wish my own mum a great day? I love her to bits and thank her for everything she’s given me, yet I don’t tell her how much she means to me enough. Which is a shame.

Mother’s Day is just one day of the year but mums all around the world should be cherished every single day of their lives. So I wish every mother out there, including my own, not only a good day but a good year as well.
