Boston Dynamics recently revealed that they have taught a robot how to open a door and walk through it. Which is a scary enough prospect.
Unfortunately, Boston Dynamics has now fueled our nightmares by showing how the same robot will persist in getting through that door even when being held back.
We see the robot approaching the door, but then a human interjects. He blocks its way and pulls it back. But it’s all to no avail, and the robot continues on its journey.
I know Boston Dynamics are doing important work, but I can’t help feeling they’re signing all of our death warrants. The robots will take over one day, and it will be our own fault.
