There are few things as adorable as animals in love. That goes double when the affectionate creatures come from different species. So predictably this video, starring a Boston terrier dog and a baby guinea pig, has made us melt.

We’re not suggesting there’s anything untowards going on here. I hardly think this dog’s planning romantic candlelit dinners or walks along the beach. But he does seem very fond of the fuzzy little chap.

He licks and licks the little guy persistently, and does his best to cuddle him close. The guinea pig seems to enjoy all the attention too! What a pair they make!
