We humans spend at least a third of our lives sleeping. Custom bed makers Legget and Platt know this and want to make your night’s sleep as comfortable as possible with their new $50,000 Starry Night Bed.

So what does a bed for $50,000 do? A hell of a lot!

The bed has two remote controlled mattresses that can change temperature and elevate when a person snores. But that’s not all. It also has a built-in home-theater system with 1.5 TB of hard drive space, 4GB of RAM, 4 speakers and a 1080p HD projector which pops out of the bed head.

When the iPod docking station was mentioned I couldn’t help but notice the major flaw with this whole design: the fact that all of the technology will probably be outdated in 5 years time.
