They might not all be as devastating as the earthquake in Haiti, but earth tremors can still rock us. It seems we’re not alone though; our animal friends don’t seem to like them too much either.

But it seems that at least this dog has the jump on us humans. While these folks in the office remain oblivious, he’s already out the door.

Apparently dogs can sense P-waves, the weakest and fastest form of seismic waves. While we have to wait for those strong surface waves to take action, they’re already clued in.

Forget seismographs; it seems like dogs might be able to give us a better heads up!
