Kate Winslet stars as a German secret service agent with an awful secret and has won a Best Actress Oscar for her role.

Even now, World War Two and the times surrounding it are sensitive times. In the movie The Reader, the director, Stephan Daldry, has brought out the best in Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes to create a beautiful, moving film.

David Cross, a talented actor from Germany, is introduced to a wider world audience in this movie and takes full advantage of this excellent role. Don’t be surprised to see more of him in the future.

The Reader is now out on DVD.
