The New Frontier was demolished last week on Tuesday, November 13th. Here’s the best, and shortest, video of it blowing up. Unlike the five-story Firdos building that collapsed in India, this building went down with little frustration; most likely due to the 1000 pounds of explosives.

This 65-year-old hotel was once owned by billionaire Howard Hughes and was where Elvis Presley had his first Vegas show. Because of its history, I can see why some people were against this demolition. Then again, it was pretty old for Vegas standards.

Whoever thought of the countdown idea was a genius. What a way to go out! Soon, The New Plaza will be taking its place. As they say, “Out with the old, in with the new.”
