This amazing video shows us how putty can be doughy and pliable one minute, then turn rock solid on impact.
In traditional Asian style, this clip doesn’t take itself too seriously. Shovel whacking aside, we also see how the putty can be placed inside a beanie to protect a watermelon.

But there’s a much more serious undercurrent. A putty beanie like this would be ideal for skiers, skateboarders, and cyclists. I’d also love an entire made from this putty stuff to protect me from my own clumsiness!
