Amazon Kindle Fire Review Video | New 7-Inch Amazon Tablet Is No Apple iPad Beater

32 sec read

The Amazon Kindle Fire is no Apple iPad killer, but then it was never built to be. Instead, it’s a cheap, 7-inch tablet that brings digital content galore to a fully mobile, touchscreen computer.

This is a video review of the Kindle Fire for Engadget, and it’s a little tepid. You can just tell the reviewer is an iPad user and lover of all things Apple. Which means he is biased against the Amazon tablet from the start.

This guy’s biggest problem with the Kindle Fire seems to be the need to ‘double tap’ rather than ‘pinch-to-zoom’ when reading books or comics. Which isn’t something that will bother most people.

In a nutshell, if you can’t afford an iPad then the Kindle Fire is a great alternative for around one-third of the price. You will have to accept the lack of some features, but for $200 it’s still insanely good value for money.
