Today Show host Ann Curry is leaving her position on the show due to low ratings. NBC pays her $10 million per season (year) and don’t think that her 3-year contract is worth it.

Matt Lauer (the old guy with the fake sense of humor) also reportedly didn’t like working with her.

I don’t really watch the Today show that often- it’s usually by mistake, and for humorous purposes. Ann Curry, however, has been working in the industry since 1997 when she was the Today show news reader.

Much like Conan, NBC is also rumored to offer her the rest of her contract money (another $20 million) if she signs a non-compete payment which would keep her off TV entirely until 2014.
