I wanted to correct a few errors and misconceptions in this article:
--"The L Word" airs on Showtime, not HBO.
--Re: teen lesbian shows & cable: The N, one of the Nickelodeon cable networks featuring teen-oriented programming, had several seasons of the highly-rated "South of Nowhere," a series with teen lesbians as principal characters.
--Nudity in a show about teenagers is inappropriate and would border on pornographic, and any show thats primary merit is nudity is a show that is lacking a story.

And, on a subjective note, I couldn't disagree with this review more. This is a compelling series with strong characters, realistic dialogue, natural acting, and a storyline that is far-and-above most teen series.

Dear Iman,

Besides the fact that I really like the show, and yes I've watched the episodes, all the episodes. I took the most issue with the inacurracies in your review. You had the information that Miller was a STAFF writer, obviously not consulting producer. Big difference than what you implied. "As it turns out, Susan Miller only wrote “one or two episodes” of ‘The L Word.’" Your jab at her just seemed mean-spirited instead of an insightful view of the work. And this is your overall vibe.

You've done nothing in your response to make me feel any better about your comment on "...it lacked two selling points of “The L Word,” which are nudity and good acting. I'm sure the folks at "The L Word" are happy to know that their selling point is nudity and not the stories and characters. And I also disagree with you about the acting on Anyone But Me.

But besides that, you were making a comparison between "The L Word" and "Anyone But Me" two shows that the only thing they have in common is that they have lesbian characters. Do you compare "Private Practice" to The "Secret Life of the American Teenager"? No of course not, because one is a show for adults one is not. So why make the comparison here. Why? Because you think all shows about lesbians have to offer is nudity obviously.

Oh and I didn't even mention the most telling and insulting thing about your review which pretty much sums up your angle here Iman. And I quote "...the only thing to enjoyable about the show is it’s occasional lesbian kissing scenes." And then you even have a link to "Sexy Lesbian Girls Kissing Videos - Hot & Horny Movie Babes!" within that comment!

classy.

E. Ripley, while I respect your opinion, I'd have to disagree. As with all web series evaluations, I gave my honest opinion for "Anyone But Me." Have you taken a serious look at the first episode? The dialog is very stereotypical and the lines, especially ones said by "Aunt Jodie," sound as it they were just rehearsed. So when you say the series is "heads and shoulders above many of the teen shows," I can't agree. I never said the show "needs to have nudity in order to be any good," but merely that it lacked two selling points of "The L Word," which are nudity and good acting.

You mentioned "Gossip Girl," which in my opinion, is also extremely unrealistic considering the fact that most teens are unable to walk into a bar and casually order martinis. And as for Susan Miller's credits, this is a quote from the woman herself, "I was on the STAFF...most of us on staff only wrote one or two episodes."

Also, thank you for informing me that the "The L Word" is on Showtime. I have now corrected the post.

Really Web TV Hub, I thought you had better standards in your writing staff.

I happen to be a big fan of this show. And not because I'm a lesbian or a straight dude needing to see two teen girls make out. I think it's heads and shoulders above many of the teen shows written out there right now, and certainly in terms of production quality it too is better than most web series.

But besides that, what happened to fact checking integrity. "The L Word" is on Showtime not HBO. And where did you do your fact checking on Susan Miller's credits IMDB? Any reviewer/reporter knows that that site is as reliable as Wikipedia. It's been written in many other articles on Anyone But Me that Miller was a staff writer and consulting producer for the first season of "The L Word".

So, Iman Peera, you kind of lost credibility with me when reading all those blunders. But you've lost even more credibility with me by suggesting that a show about teenage lesbians, no let me rephrase that, a show about minors needs to have nudity in order to be any good. Is it tough for you to watch "Gossip Girl" too because the kids aren't taking their clothes off for you? Or is it just teen lesbian sex that you are interested in?
