Artie Lange is the hefty sidekick of Howard Stern who has been almost as controversial as Stern in his time, and a lot fatter too.

He recently appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman, and brought his girlfriend along. She’s 25-years-old and a lot hotter than he is. But then he’s famous so it kind of makes sense.

Lange also talked to Letterman about his DUI convictions, of which he has many, and his appearance on Joe Buck Live on HBO. Apparently the network wasn’t too pleased with his bad language.

Letterman obviously loves this guy, and he seems to be popular with the crowd too. But as a Brit who until last night had never heard of him, I wasn’t that impressed.

His couple of funny comments were drowned out by the fact he sounded like he was on the verge of having a heart attack. Which is never a good look.
