The spontaneous, casual feel of morning television can lead to some unexpectedly hilarious moments. We saw it in the film Morning Glory, and now Australia’s Today show has given us a real life example.

As the presenters chatted about the measures they took to keep themselves safe, the conversation took a turn for the tawdry. Eventually all the talk of “long, stabby things” in the bedroom became too much for host Karl Stefanovic, who politely excused himself from set.

While Karl lost it, full marks must go to Lisa Wilkinson who managed to be deliciously naughty while keeping her composure!
