Local news stories rarely have the punch of the big national headlines, but sometimes these smaller suburban tales unearth some real gems. After all, if her house hadn’t burned down we wouldn’t know about Oklahoma City resident Sweet Brown.

This interview with Ms Brown may be one of my favorites ever. It runs for less than 30 seconds but her animated recount of the “horrifying” fire leaves a lasting impression.

Someone give this woman her own talk show, pronto. Or perhaps Hollywood might want to turn the story of this house fire into a major action movie, with Sweet playing herself. Naturally!
