Barack Obama & Rashid Khalidi Links Video | Obama’s Friendship With Terrorist Spokesman

47 sec read

There’s trouble brewing over an alleged friendship between the man who could be President next week, Barack Obama, and former terrorist spokesman Rashid Khalidi.

The L.A. Times reported back in 2003 that Obama spoke at a celebration for a man named Rashid Kalidi. The problem is that Khalidi used to be a spokesman for the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization).

As this video details, it is claimed that the LAT is now withholding a video of Obama speaking about his friendship with Khalidi from that party in 2003. Is this to ensure Obama wins the election?

I do think the LAT should release the video, because withholding it is political gaming at its best. But I don’t think Obama should be castigated for being friends with someone who may share different views than a proportion of America.

The key thing is, Khalidi is a former spokesman for the PLO. He doesn’t do it anymore, so I don’t see the harm. People can change how they choose to do business, and clearly Khalidi has softened somewhat.

Actually, isn’t it a good thing that Obama is interested in both sides of the Israel/Palestine conflict? Maybe Obama is the man that could finally bring about a peace settlement, but he wouldn’t be able to by just listening to Israel’s point of view.
