This is the official music video for Dance For You by Beyonce. The fans have been desperate to see it, although I don’t quite know why because it doesn’t seem very different from her last one, or the one before that.
The song is horrible. It’s all over the place. Perhaps it will grow on me over time but for now it just comes across as a bit of a mess my ears are keen not to have to listen to any more.
And then there is the video. It’s as though Beyonce is trying to conjure up the spirit of Single Ladies, which worked extremely well as a video. But while that was simple and elegant this just comes across as convoluted and trying too hard.
If this is anything to go by then I’d rather Beyonce didn’t dance for me. In fact, if she could Dance For You and get out of my face then I’d be a happy man.
