Horror movie veterans will be pleased to hear that Hammer Horror Films is back with it’s first movie since 1976. The company, best known for creating the original Dracula, was revived last year in hopes to gain a whole new generation of horror fans in the 21st century.

Their new movie/web series called “Beyond The Rave” will premiere for free online tomorrow in HD.

Rather than a traditional theatrical release, Hammer Films will broadcast 20 short 5-minute long webisodes twice a week solely through MySpaceTV. After all the webisodes have aired, the entire movie will be available on DVD in June.

Cast

Unlike other web series that star virtually unknown actors, Hammer Films has the budget to hire some fresh-yet-experienced faces:

  • Jamie Dornan (Marie Antoinette)
  • Nora-Jane Noone (The Descent)
  • Sadie Frost (1992’s Dracula)
  • Tarner Hassan (Football Factory)

‘Beyond The Rave’ Trailer

Judging by this official trailer, I’d say that this series has a lot of potential. However, I can see how some people might be annoyed by the 5 minute installments since the trailer doesn’t specify if it is a movie or a web series. Due to excessive violence, you must be 18 to view the movie.
