Avril Lavigne has gone a little weird for her next single. Titled Hello Kitty, it sees the Canadian pop princess dressing kookily and presenting a different side to herself.
The song itself is rather weird, with bizarre lyrics and a pop dubstep vibe. But the video is even weirder, with Lavigne employing some rather robotic Japanese dancers and a whole mess of pastel colors.
It looks like Lavigne has been suckered into trying to mimic the likes of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and Katy Perry, as all three are clear influences. Oh, and Gwen Stefani too.
Whether you like Hello Kitty by Avril Lavigne is completely up to you and based on personal tastes. But like it or not, you have to admit it’s a little strange.
