No longer just a way to get across a river, canoes are now a vessel for some very elegant dancing! In this bizarre video we see one of the competitors from the Mid-West Freestyle Canoe Championships.

He certainly looks the part in his snappy suit as he circles around the lake. The sensual Chris de Burgh soundtrack only makes this video more amusing!

I’m not sure canoe dancing will ever get the cult following enjoyed by reality TV dance competitions, but surely there’s potential there. That’s especially true if we have a few spills; they’re bound to be much more spectacular on the water!
