Wow. What a truly strange set of circumstances. I’ve heard some bizarre deaths in my time, but this one truly takes the biscuit. And although it’s a tragic tale, I can’t help but find it slightly amusing.
Mia Landingham, who weighed 300lbs at the time of the incident, killed her boyfriend last year by sitting on him. The couple were in the middle of an altercation when the incident took place.
The boyfriend, Mikal Middleton-Bey, was small in comparison, weighing around 120lbs.
There was allegedly a history of domestic abuse and violent arguments between the couple. But this all ended when Mia sat on her boyfriend, killing him outright.
I feel really sorry for the guy who died, and his family. I also feel really sorry for Mia, who has to live with that death for the rest of her life. But I’m having to stop myself giggling at the whole thing whenever I form a mental picture of it happening.
Mia was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to three years on probation and 100 hours community service.
