Dogs are fiercely territorial. Which is the only plausible explanation for this show of circus skills from Oscar the dog. Either that or he’s an exhibitionist show-off.

This dog knows what he wants to do – mark the territory at the front of the apartment block he lives in with his owner – and knows how to do it – do a walking handstand, peeing as he goes.

Oscar’s owner doesn’t appear to have figured out the reason for these impressive acrobatics. He just thinks it is Oscar being “a funny dog.” He is funny, but he’s not trying to be.

The way he walks in a semi-circle to ensure the front of the building is completely walled off with his scent is pretty impressive. I’m just glad humans no longer resort to this kind of thing.
