Last year saw a new phenomenon hit the Internet – literal music videos. The first, or at least the first one to do it well, was Take On Me by A-Ha. Go and watch that, laugh out loud and the genius of it, and then come back here for more.

Back? Good. There have been loads of attempts at literal music videos since then. Some are really good, and some are really bad. The one that work are the ones where the singer sounds similar to the original artist and the lyrics are actually funny.

This one, which shows the literal music video for Total Eclipse of The Heart by Bonnie Tyler, is the best I have seen. If you don’t laugh at least once at the change of lyrics on display then I’m afraid you need a sense of humor bypass.

So many of these videos are half-hearted efforts or give up halfway through, but this one continues to be funny all the way through. I’ve already watched it three times and I think one more is in order right now…
