All of these statements have been fact-checked. The history of pedophilia in the Catholic church is consistently shocking to say the least.
It’s videos like this that make my blood boil. Hiding behind a belief system in order to escape persecution shouldn’t even be legal. Obviously there are good people in religious organizations- which is why so many of these facts are even known.
The one that stuck in my head was when Pope Leo IX made abuse “a spiritual issue, not a criminal one.” Corruption at its worst.
