Anthony Marshall, 85 and the son of philanthropist and New York socialite Brooke Astor, has gone to trial in New York. He has been accused of manipulating his mother in her last days so he could get a larger chunk of her estate in the will.

In this nauseating case of a woman suffering from Alzheimers being manipulated into changing her will, I can’t help but feel sad for the state of humanity.

Recent news is now reporting that Anthony Marshall has now been found guilty of taking nearly $200 million from his mother’s estate.

At 85 years old, a sentence of up to 25 years in jail is not one that he is likely to survive.
