Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is no stranger to stealing speeches. A few years ago we saw him plagiarizing the speech of the Australian prime minster of the time, John Howard. But now he’s turned to a more sinister source of inspiration: Star Wars villain Emperor Palpatine.
I know what you’re thinking. There’s no way that a respected politician would borrow the speech of the most evil man in the galaxy, would they? Sadly the evidence is irrefutable. This video puts the two speeches side by side and there’s no denying it.
I don’t know about you, but I think it’s time that Stephen Harper found a new speech writer!
