We’ve all done it, at least those of us who are human have. However, I think this may just be the first time I’ve ever seen a cat drop off to sleep so suddenly and so inexplicably that he’s experienced a faceplant.

You know how it is, you spend so much time running around doing stuff – work, shopping, household chores – that you don’t notice how very, very tired you are becoming. And then it hits you.

It can happen when you’re watching your favorite show on TV, when you’re at the computer writing an email, or even (and this has to be the worst) when you’re in the middle of eating a meal. And you fall asleep in the blink of an eye.

This video sees the same thing happen to a cat, which just goes to show how similar out feline friends are to ourselves. Forget monkeys being our ancestors and dogs being our best friends, cats clearly have more in common with humanity.
