The D-Day landings were one of the pinnacles of human endeavour, the time when the Allied forces bravely faced down the Nazis and took Europe back to democracy.

There were thousands of men involved and the whole exercise was a bloody and brutal battle which resulted in the deaths of many British and American soldiers.

I have always been fascinated by ancient landmarks that are still mysterious today. Stonehenge is definitely one of them.

Olde English, the comedy troupe recently known for their Akon and T-Pain parody, were once known for their controversial viral videos. This video may have been done back in December of 2002, however the question it poses is just as powerful today:

These are certainly interesting times we live in. We are now seeing the effects of being the online generation in terms of psychology, sociology, language and much more.

I must admit, before watching this video I hadn’t given balloon twisting a lot of thought. Oh sure, I thought it was cute when people made dogs and flowers for children. But it’s not exactly high art or anything, right?

Now that is hot! (Yeah, I had to. Sometimes the easy ones are just too hard to resist.)

It is amazing what we can do with technology now. These pictures from the surface of the sun show a strangely beautiful solar flare.

I wish they could give some sort of reference scale on the video so you could truly realize the size and magnitude of the massive solar flare in the video. But even though there is not a scale, it is still awesome.

And just think, this kind of activity (though maybe not at this scale) is happening on the sun right now…
