This video shows a father’s response to his daughter posting a rant against her parents on her Facebook wall. The ending is rather shocking and, to my mind at least, way over the top.

This guy’s 15-year-old daughter posted on her Facebook wall about how annoyed she was with her parents over the chores they make her do. She even used a mild swearword on a couple of occasions.

The father’s measured response? Read the post out on a video, shoot her laptop with live ammunition from a handgun, and then post it all over the Internet for the whole world to see.

Rather than give my full, unedited opinion about this video on here I’ll take to my personal blog instead. Suffice to say I’m astonished by the level of support this guy is getting. I think he went way too far.

The Grey is a new movie showing what could happen if you ever get stranded in a winter wonderland with a pack of hungry, starving wolves who are baying for blood. Need I say more?

OK, you need a little more. How about the fact, as you can clearly see in the red band trailer embedded above, that Liam Neeson is the lead actor. Liam Neeson kicks ass, almost as much as Chuck Norris.

There has been criticism over the film’s portrayal of wolves as bloodthirsty beasts. So what?!? It’s a bloody film, metaphorically and literally, so get over it.

This is a must-see movie for me. One of the finest actors fighting off hordes of wolves? Yeah, I’ll have some of that please.

This video shows the first trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, a new game from Platinum Games with a less-than-snappy title.

The trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was revealed exclusively during the Spike VGAs, but is now all over the Web. Understandable really, as this is an intriguing game.

Originally thought to be part of the Metal Gear Solid series, this is a standalone title starring a reborn Raiden. And it’s very different in style than any Metal Gear game to date.

Platinum Games is the developer responsible for Bayonetta, and many of its staff previously worked on the Devil May Cry series. So it’s no surprise to see a hack and slash style of gameplay being employed.

This is sure to sell well on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, but I can’t say it’s my thing, exactly.

The Walking Dead is the story of a zombie apocalypse told in a classy way. Zombie Apocalypse, meanwhile, takes a different approach. This TV movie is a schlock horror affair with less drama but more fun.

Zombie Apocalypse is a movie starring Ving Rhames which debuted on Syfy over the weekend. Because Halloween is almost here, obviously.

What I want to know is where this love of all things zombie came from? Zombie movies have been around since the 1930, but it’s only been the last 10 years or so when they’ve become box office gold.

Now we have The Walking Dead, Dawn Of The Dead, Zombieland, and Shaun Of The Dead. Zombies are even turning up in video games such as Red Dead Redemption and Call Of Duty. When will this madness end? When the zombie apocalypse actually happens, I guess.

I don’t have a problem when police are protecting and serving people, but then someone starts unnecessarily clubbing someone it just boils my blood.

There definitely needs to be a balance of power, and that can be seen at this sport event.

There is a difference between a riot and a group of people standing up for themselves. Sure, the man in the video running was acting like an idiot waving a flag, but this type of thing is a frequent occurrence at games.

I, for one, would like to see this type of “crowd-control” realised in every day situations for overstepping power. There are just way too many police brutality videos as it is.

Shia LaBeouf likes to party, likes to drink, and likes to spend the money he has earned from all those crap Transformers movies. But that can lead to trouble.

This video, obtained by TMZ, shows LaBeouf getting into an altercation outside a bar in Vancouver, Canada. He ends up on the floor with a topless assailant trying to beat him up.

If I were a world-famous celebrity that everyone would recognize without even a second glance I suspect I’d become a hermit, staying in my house 24/7. But that isn’t Shia LaBeouf’s policy.

I bet this isn’t the first time LaBeouf has been physically threatened while out on the town. Maybe it’s all celebrities, or perhaps it’s just him. After all, he does have a particularly punchable face.

I don’t mean to upset you, but Monday is looming. It’s enough to make you want to punch someone in the face. I don’t recommend this dramatic course of action however, so why not feast your eyes on this video and live vicariously through your favorite movie characters.

This video brings us 20 great movie punch-ups. These king-hits are fierce, sometimes funny, and generally fantastic. I think my favorite is the moment Phil Connors’ finally takes out cheery Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day, but that cinematic gem has some serious competition.

I know they say that violence doesn’t solve anything, but you’ve got to admit that it’s pretty entertaining.

This could possibly be the greatest comic book movie ever made. All the ingredients are there: great characters, a great cast, and a great director. And now we have a great official trailer.

The Avengers is all set to explode into movie theaters in 2012.

The Avengers movie has been a long time coming. Marvel set about giving most of the main characters their own movies before setting The Avangers into motion. But it is now just months away, with a release date of May 4, 2012.

We have Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. What else do you need?

A good storyline, obviously, but I’m confident.

You expect the occasional fight at a music gig, especially when the genre of music is metal, where the crowd will largely consist of young men with aggression in their hearts and nowhere to direct it. But very rarely are the band themselves involved.

The band in question is Bring Me The Horizon, a British metal group who have been around for years without really troubling the mainstream. And I doubt there’ll be changing that with this sort of attitude.

Little scuffles were going on throughout the gig, but sick of having bottles thrown at him the lead singer decided he wanted in. He basically invites the crows onto the stage to have a fight with him, and some take the offer up.

This suggests there are a lot of people out there just itching to fight. Why? I haven’t a clue. But when the singer of a band playing live on stage goes looking for a ruck you know something is wrong.

Dexter Morgan is back! Season 6 of Dexter is now on Showtime, with the first episode airing last night (Oct. 2). This is the official trailer for the new series, and it looks pretty damn exciting.

I was late getting into Dexter but am now slowly catching up with the rest of the world. Those who haven’t yet taken the leap with this police analyst come serial killer should do so before it’s too late.

This trailer suggests more of the same – the slaying of people who arguably deserve it – while bringing some new elements into the mix. Committed fans won’t be able to get enough.

There is a risk of Dexter becoming a little samey, and I’m not sure how long the titular character can go before his secret gets exposed. People have come close, but no one has yet managed to spill the beans on him.

This is the official movie trailer for Dream House, a new psychological horror starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, and Naomi Watts. It looks pretty good from this angle but it has received a kicking from the critics.

I guess it’s one of those movies we’ll all have to make our own mind up on. Because even the critics sometimes get it wrong.

One of the big problems with films of this nature today is the omnipresence of the Internet. Why can’t the characters just look stuff up on the Web? Some obscure reason is usually given but Dream House doesn’t even bother.

I like films such as Dream House, and I like the three lead actors, but my opinion has been tempered somewhat by the negative reviews I have read. At least there is a chance it’ll exceed my expectations at this point.

This video shows NYPD DI Anthony Bologna pepper spraying protesters at the Occupy Wall Street demonstration in Greenwich Village, New York. Suffice to say it has caused controversy.

I have very mixed feelings on this. The use of pepper spray on this occasion probably was unnecessary and over-the-top, with the protesters targeted demonstrating peacefully and moving away from the scene.

However, protests such as this one have a tendency to spiral out of control, and the police have to ensure that doesn’t happen. One way of doing this is getting people to move on and break up any large groups that are forming.

I’m all for peaceful protests, but I also tend to side with the police on these occasions. They have a difficult job to do, and it’s virtually impossible to make the right call in the heat of the moment on every single occasion.

This is a video review of Dead Island, a new video game on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, by PlayrBitz. The game is out today in the U.S. with a European and Japanese release to follow.

This guy seems to like Dead Island, but I have to say I’m not convinced. Haven’t we seen this all before? There doesn’t seem to be anything particularly fresh or innovative on show here.

It’s like an amalgamation of Dead Rising, Left 4 Dead, and Borderlands. While all three of those games are highly playable, why would you want a title that copies elements from each and throws them together randomly?

At the end of the day I don’t like survival horror games, which is the genre Dead Island fits into. Call me a wuss but I don’t like the feeling of fighting for my own life, whether it be for real, in a dream, or in a video game.

Summer may be drawing to a close, which sucks, but it does mean we’re about to enter into the golden time of the year for gamers. The next few months are going to see the best games of the year released in the run up to Christmas.

Starting with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, for which this is the multiplayer trailer.

This is one of the best trailers for a video game I have ever seen. It shows off the visuals and the different styles of gameplay superbly. Sure, there is very little actual in-game footage, but that doesn’t matter too much.

Modern Warfare faces stiff competition for the hearts and minds of gamers from Battlefield 3, which brings vehicles and aircraft into the equation. It’s going to be a tough fight between the two, but Call of Duty has certainly come out fighting.

This is the teaser trailer for The Walking Dead season 2. Not only does it catch us up to the end of the first season, it also reveals quite a lot of what we can expect from the second. Which is more of the same, it would seem.

Some fans of the graphic novels are apparently concerned about the direction in which the series is headed. But different mediums require different stories and different storytelling techniques.

I’m looking forward to the start of The Walking Dead season 2 but I must admit I’m wondering how long my interest will hold. After all, zombie survival tales tend to get a bit samey and repetitive after a while.

In the end you need everyone to be killed off or for something to wipe out the zombie population so that the survivors can live in peace rather than peril. With that in mind, how many more seasons can we really expect to see?

This is the official movie trailer for Columbiana, an action-packed revenge thriller starring Zoe Saldana from Avatar. Produced by Luc Besson and directed by Olivier Megaton, this is a non-stop, balls-out rollercoaster of a movie.

Luc Besson movies all have a similar look and feel to them. That doesn’t mean to say if you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all, but there is a certain stylistic thread that runs through them all. Which some people will love, others will hate.

I’m not sure what to make of Columbiana. It may pass an evening when there is nothing else on, but it’s not exactly going to have me rushing to the movie theater. Even though Saldana is hot.

People who like no-nonsense, very little-storyline action thrillers in the style of Michael Bay will love Columbiana. The rest of us won’t be able to forgive the poor script and shoddy acting. The restrictions by it being a PG-13 don’t help either.

Final Destination 5 is out today in the U.S., and this is the first video review of the fifth installment in this particular movie series I have seen.

These guys aren’t fans of Final Destination 5. They like the 3D elements, but everything else pretty much left them cold. So much so, in fact, that they were left remembering scenes from The Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.

I take some of the points they make, but I’m still going to see Final Destination 5. It’s fun to see the convoluted ways Death strikes back at those who escaped him the first time round, and there is the mythos surrounding it all too.

Final Destination 5 won’t be a movie for everyone, but if you’ve exhausted all the big summer blockbusters and want something that will entertain for one night only it has to be an option, right?

This is the official movie trailer for Final Destination 5, which looks like being a return to form for the series. I hope this proves to be the case because the last couple have sucked ass.

I admit I will be going to see this. Sure, the Final Destination films have lessened in quality with each successive sequel, but they’re still entertaining to watch. And it helps that Final Destination 5 appears to have a plot rather than just being about the gory deaths.

That’s where I think the series went wrong, dropping the whole storyline of Death stalking youngsters who somehow escaped from him the first time round.

Final Destination 5 is out this weekend in the U.S. and is being released over the course of the next month elsewhere.

London police are stretched thin as fires, looting and general chaos spread in the United Kingdom.

New ‘warzones’ are being created faster than the police can deal with them as buildings are lit up, stores looted and worse happening.

The violence doesn’t seem to be abating in the least, leading to fears for people living in and around London.

What is causing the violence is under some debate. Some people say it’s simply a crime spree while others say the riots are because of unemployment and cutbacks.

Please. If you are in the UK – especially in these areas – please stay indoors and stay safe.

This is the official movie trailer for Paranormal Activity 3, a prequel to the series which just keeps on getting scarier and scarier. I’m not even sure I can stomach this one.

The first two Paranormal Activity movies were good. Scary but good. I know they’re simple and made on a budget, but they work extremely well.

This third film follows the same principles laid down in the others but ramps up the scare levels by a few degrees. Which makes me wonder if I can actually see it. I certainly won’t attempt to do so alone.

Paranormal Activity 3 is due to be released on October 11, 2011. By all means head out to the movie theater to see it, but just remember to take a spare pair of pants with you in case the first get soiled.
