Hollywood A-Listers and the music industry’s elite have teamed up for children’s literacy in this public service announcement called Book People Unite.

The Book People include Jack Black, Jason Schwartzman, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, John Legend, Regina Spektor, and The Roots who produced the entire production. The stars take on the voices of some beloved children’s book characters, who all come to life in the colorful clip.

This may be the happiest minute of video footage I’ve viewed in some time. I’m not sure it’ll make the kids abandon their Xbox 360s, but it’s made adult me want to go back to my favorite kiddie tales!
